The Export Process

If you are exporting from Indonesia, obtaining this certificate involves the following steps:

 

• Prepare Documents: Gather your commercial invoice, packing list, and any required treatment certificates (like fumigation).

• Apply for Inspection: File a request for quarantine inspection through the Indonesian agricultural quarantine authority (Badan Karantina Nasional).

• Inspection and Treatment: Officials will physically inspect the goods to ensure they are healthy, clean, and pest-free.

• Certificate Issuance: Once passed, the authority issues the physical and/or electronic Phytosanitary Certificate to accompany your shipment.

 

The Import Process

If you are importing regulated goods into Indonesia, the process shifts slightly:

 

You must ensure the exporting party provides a valid Phytosanitary Certificate issued by their respective National Plant Protection Organization (NPPO).

 

All incoming shipments are subject to re-inspection by Indonesian authorities upon arrival to verify the cargo matches the provided certificate

 

Verification: If you need to check the validity of an Indonesian-issued certificate, it can be verified through the Barantan official verification portal.
